The original drawings: American Walnut, Beech, Ash, Oak and European Walnut

The trees that I designed for Conran are now in the Fulham windows. They wanted to keep the emphasis on the furniture but had the idea to have backdrops that look like pages from a giant sketchbook. I was asked to come up with drawings of winter trees, these were then transferred and enlarged onto the canvas backdrops by scenic painters . I also hand drew text on site onto the right hand side of each canvas. Possibly my dream job…

Here is a peek at one of my tree drawings now on The Conran Shop website. The illustrations are being used as part of the new window display which is being installed this week, I’m going in to help tomorrow and can’t wait to see it all!

I haven’t blogged in ages as I have been working on a job for The Conran Shop. I have just finished it but have to wait until February to see the results. In the meantime these are a few drawings of Prague buildings that I did in between work and flu over christmas.

Here are photos of the canvas cash desks that I hand painted for the new Jigsaw shops in Newbury, Marlborough and Stratford. They were commissioned by AMD Interior Architecture.

One last photo before my camera died on me of this wall I painted over the weekend. Camera is off to the menders now.

Caricature to go on a business card for journalist Nina Koo-Seen-Lin

Here are some pictures of the Few and Far Christmas displays. I painted the Christmas Bazaar sign for them and the Turkish character in the window, for which I also conjured up a huge turban and a paper caftan!
